This book was such fun to read! Great plot, awesome twists. Kept me guessing until the end. The Blackbird sisters are quite a trio of characters. Each extremely different despite their same high society upbringing. Look forward to reading the other adventures (misadventures?) of these sisters.

How to Murder a Millionaire Blackbird Sisters Mysteries No 1 Nancy Martin Books Reviews

I read this series in hardback several years ago and decided to try the digital version. Ms. Martin is an engaging author. This isn't your every day murder mystery and I appreciate the unique storyline and viewpoint.
This made for ok reading on a long plane trip. Never really got that intrigued by the characters to care which one of them did it so I never really looked for clues. The ending was logical but not motivating enough to get me to follow the series.
This is the first book in the Blackbird Sisters series, and I really enjoyed this cozy. The Blackbird sisters are a lot of fun and I love the characters. The plot was fairly simple, but the mystery was fun to try to figure out. I will certainly be looking at reading some books in this series since I had such a good time with Dora, Emma and Libby.
Nancy Martin has created a series of books about the eccentric Blackbird sisters. This is book one of the series. If you like a little comedy and romance in your mysteries, Martin is a great choice. This first installment is tame enough for the more conservative--latter books in the series are a bit "hotter." It's all murder, high society, and familial frustration with the wild Blackbirds.
I have read this series several times from the library. I am in the process of buying them, because I enjoy re-reading them. I like the characters, Nora Blackbird and her sisters Libby and Emma are fun, and I really like Michael Abruzzo. The mysteries are quirky and not too easy to figure out, but obviously I read these more for the twists and turns in the characters' lives than for the mystery.
Noting other comments, I took a chance on this book and it was a very nice surprise and I look forward to reading the next book in this series. Those of us interested in the fashion aspects will have their appetites whetted - and then, well, then there is Michael Abruzzo - the bad-boy protector who brings on the charm and the sizzle as he and Nora become partners in solving a murder.
Nancy Martin has a great new series with this first book centering around Nora Blackbird and her sisters. Many parts of it are flippant and just plain funny. The characters are terrific!
I do have to say that this is one of the very few books that took me about two chapters to get into that I turned out to really like. So, although it does have a somewhat slow start - it is really worth reading.
The romance that is heating up between Nora Blackbird and Michael as well as the "fate of the Blackbird Widows" is intriguing.
Nancy Martin's description of Nora's brother-in-law Ralph was just terrific especially in the finally pages. The description of Nora's sister, "Not the sharpest knife in the drawer" was hilarious.
I have a feeling that Nancy Martin's Blackbird Sisters series is only going to get better.
